I've got one of those need help and need to get this off my chest times!!
I am really getting irritated with Blogger and the things I cannot do on it! Some of you have wordpress themes for your blogs, which are so much simpler looking which I want! Do or did you use Wordpress.org or Wordpress.com? Do you have any pros and cons you can tell me about it? Please help!! I have been messing around with this since I started and I am not getting anywhere!! I am not going to download just any template because I can't get it on Blogger! If you use Blogger you would know that there are a very, very minimal amount of templates! I really don't need my computer to crash trying to download a template to use that may not work anyway! Also, I am interested in what web hosting you use (for those that have their own domain!)
Okay there is my rambling for the week!! Sorry about that but we all need to do it sometimes!!
If you have any information at all to help me, it would be so gratefully appreciated!! You can email me too (6lifesblessings at gmail dot com)!
Thanks to you all for supporting me through this! God and I have great plans for this blogging adventure, I am just trying to get there!! :)
A Little More than Today

Michele,
ReplyDeleteI have hosting through jaguar hosting. It's $95.40 per year, plus you have to purchase the domain name, which is $10-15 per year. I can set you up with a wordpress blog hosted on my space (for free) if you wanted to. I can't promise I can get to it today, but it would be flexible where you could use your own templates, etc. Just let me know.
Ummmm, I can't help with this... Next!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHi! My name is Beth, and I found your blog through the Creative Mama blog. I have recently set up my own blog with my own URL, and I've learned alot! My husband is techie, so that's helped. Basically, I bought the url (www.redandhoney.com), and my hubby has a server set up at our house, so we host it ourselves. I use the free software from wordpress.org, and am loving it so far. I used to have the wordpress.com version (www.bethricci.wordpress.com), and it was great, but I wanted more flexibility to play with the look of my blog, etc. So I made the switch. I am really enjoying it so far. In order to make it worthwhile you have to be willing to learn some techie stuff though. A bit of coding, etc. in order to play around with your theme. There are thousands of free themes out there though. It's great. There are also sites you can read to learn the basic coding stuff. If you have any more questions that I can answer, I'd be happy to try and help. Us blogging girls ought to share our techie knowledge! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Beth
Huh? I have no clue how to do it either! haha! I just like the fact that I have a pretty background. :) This blogging thing is kind of difficult, I know and if I could help, I would. But I am in the same boat!
